CHaPD reports on water quality
The Chemicals Hazards and Poisons Division of the Health Protection Agency provides expert advice on the consequences to public health of contaminated drinking water.
Betweem 2006 and 2008 they reported eighty-two incidents of chemical contamination to drinking water across England and Wales.
For the majority of incidents, little or no information was available on critical exposure variables such as duration of contamination and the size of the population affected.
